Our favorite was Christmas--Italy's very beautiful during the holidays--Venice was never cleaner and we never saw the Vatican so beautifully lit--Xmas morn the view of Rome from the Palatine Hill--only bad weather was Milan, very cold and wet, much like London but not quite that bad (also, the food is much better in Milan--the English seem to have never learnt how to cook). (PS: Maybe we should start a thread for Italian stocks? How about La Rinascente and Montedison for starters?)
