USBL LAUNCHES WEB SITE CONTEST; "VOTE ON TOP FIVE USBL INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCES"........................

MILFORD, CT - The United States Basketball League announced today that it will host another contest at their Web Site at usbl.com. The contest, which will end April lst, will allow fans to vote on the top five USBL individual performance of all-time. As a contestant, the USBL will offer fans the chance to win USBL stock and become an "Owner". Winners will be selected randomly from those fans who enter the contest.

1. Byron Strickland, 65 points, Jersey vs. Springfield, 8/18/86
2. Manute Bol, 28 rebounds, Rhode Island vs. New Jersey, 6/20.85.
3. Anthony Mason, 28 rebounds, Long Island vs. Philadelphia, 7/12/91.
4. Roy Tarpley, 28 rebounds, Miami vs. New Haven, 5/30/92.
5. Norris Coleman, 55 points, Jacksonville vs. Philadelphia, 6/13/88.
6. Charlie Bradley, 10 3-pointers, Tampa Bay vs. Atlantic City, 6/07/96
7. Leroy Witherspoon, 28 assists, Tampa Bay vs. Gold Coast, 7/10/86.
8. Manute Bol, 18 blocks, Rhode Island vs. Connecticut, 6/02/85
9. Manute Bol, 18 blocks, Rhode Island vs. Long Island, 7/08/85.
10. Petey Sessoms, 44 points, Philadelphia vs. Portland, 6/27/97.
Recognized as "The League of Opportunity", the USBL will begin play in 1998 on Friday, May lst. Over the course of the last 12 seasons, the USBL has sent 114 players on to the NBA. Among the 144 Alumni the USBL has showcased are "Muggsy" Bogues, Chris Childs, Mario Elie, Avery Jonson, Anthony Mason, and Charlie Ward.
