On the corruption topic: I'm aware that Argentina's attorneys-general have a full docket, and have had measurable success. There remains much work to be accomplished, however.

Certainly, I agree that the economies require more dimension. and they working to that end. Tough job though.
Only several years ago Argentina had a cotton industry that exported nearly all of the raw product. For the complacency of an industry owned and operated by the state, entire enterprises founded in cotton by-products were ignored. The Uruguayan textiles industry was only too happy to accommodate the blunder.
Yes, it will take some more time. Can't ignore how much of a hindrance corruption always is. That's for sure. But, if Argentina ever gets rolling again in earnest, unhindered, it'll be a juggernaut.
