FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)—Mar. 10, 1999--The Internet Advisory Corporation (OTC:PUNK - news) announced that it has contracted with Panduit Co., Chatsworth Products, American Power Conversion Co., Orthonics, and Digital Link to provide hardware to build the infrastructure of their new high speed data center. theinternetcorporation.com
The infrastructure will include state of the art aluminum relay racks by Chatsworth Products. These racks will have the capacity to hold up to four hundred computer servers. American Power Conversion Corp. (NASDAQ:APCC – news) is supplying PUNK with their Unlimited Power Supply (UPS) system. This UPS matrix backup system will ensure that no customer will experience any power outages. If there are any fluctuations in voltage or power outages, the system will automatically page one of our technicians, such that any problems can be solved through remote access or on site.
In regards to the UL approved wire management system, Panduit Co. was chosen as the primary supplier. Orthonics has been contracted to install their sophisticated category 5 patch panel. This panel will unite the co-location customers to the backbone of the internet. Punk has also commissioned Digital link to provide the T- 3 Modem also known as Digital Service Unit (DSU). The modem can handle up to 45 million bits per second.
The completion of the Infrastructure in the high-speed data center is estimated to be within the next two weeks.
