Bad news? Novell + Compaq vs. Inktomi...

Long article in TheStreet.com (for subscribers) about Novell (and their winning battle against MS's Windows NT). The article is strictly about Novell but mentions INKT (excerpt below). The whole article points out how Novell has been able to whip MS because MS is pushing propietary products while Novell is committed to an open strategy. Any thoughts?

thestreet.com

"Merrill Lynch's Bellace expects Novell to announce next week an alliance with Compaq (CPQ:NYSE) and one other
company for a fast-caching product that would improve network storage and bandwidth. Specialist companies like Inktomi
(INKT:Nasdaq) currently have proprietary caching products, but these are more expensive."
