It was quite a day, certainly. Maybe enough to turn some heads, but probably not. What's a 6% NASDAQ 100 loss when your stocks have risen 500% in two years?

The NYSE is really looking terrible. I read this weekend that over 60% of NYSE stocks fell last year. I mean, the NYSE has been looking sluggish for a long time, not having reached a new high since last July. Last week on rising volume it declined. Today the NASDAQ sets a record for volume. It almost feels like prices have gotten high enough that no matter how much new January pension / profit-sharing / 401k distributions are pumped in, the market simply can't go higher (for the moment, anyway).

I've been in cash for a full week now. That's unusual for my method...
