Trump said today, it's better not to have a heart in business, but in government you have to have a heart. I know what he's talking about and that is why I always thought it was terrible to have business people as politicians, too often they have no heart.

And having spent half my working life in government and half my life in private business, the people in government had much more knowledge, empthy and ethics than the business people where it was usually cut throat.

And unlike Trump, I must say I sold real estate for 25 years and I always tried to have a big heart and I was honest.

Nevertheless, it is better to have people running your government that have advanced degrees in public administration and social theory and understand what they're doing. And some experience.

I worked in state government for 20 years and it requires years of experience to know how to send a memo and who you should send it to, personel rules, and all the diplomatic protocol required for dealing with myriad facets of a society, like a tickler file.

You need to know the chain of command, you need to know political rhetoric, the politicians, you need to know the constituents. And the power structures. And when they put business people in the government positions they don't know any of that. And they invariably do a terrible job.
