Bernie Sanders, socialist candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination, vowed to pardon unrepentant Puerto Rican terrorist Oscar Lopez-Rivera in a speech in San Juan. SANDERS: “Oscar López-Rivera has done his time. He must be given a chance to enjoy his remaining years in freedom. And if President Obama does not do that, as I hope he will, as President of the United States I will pardon Oscar López-Rivera.” Lopez-Rivera was convicted for bomb-making during a terror campaign in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Lopez-Rivera’s terror group, Armed Forces for National Liberation (FALN), is thought to be responsible for more than 100 bombings. Sanders did not say whether he was looking for a pay off, like the Clintons typically do with pardons.
