Wind River Backs FY98 Net View Of 57C/Shr, Rev $84.1M

SAN FRANCISCO (Dow Jones)--Wind River Systems Inc. (WIND) said it is comfortable with fiscal 1998 earnings estimates of 57 cents a share, sources said.

The company added that it was comfortable with fiscal 1998 revenue estimates of $84.1 million, said sources who attended a company presentation at the Hambrecht & Quist technology conference here.

For the first quarter ending April 30, Wind River, an Alameda, Calif., software developer, said it was comfortable with projections for earnings of 9 cents a share and revenue of $17.1 million, the sources said.
