I know you were winking, but losses in transmission line are very small as is -- electrical energy transmission is not even a feasible app for superconductors

100 x capacity means nothing by itself -- what if the cost were 1x10^6 more?

(also capacity is not the same thing as efficiency -- regular transmission conductors at HV are better than 98% efficient for very, very long distances)

High temp SCs will always be at temperatures well below room temp -- it's the phonons (thermal vibrations) that destroys the coupling required for SC to exist
