Short interest down again in April. Down to 50K from 55K in March. Eight straight months of declining short interest, beginning at 289K shares in August, 2001 (and a longer trend is present as well: 400K shares short in November, 2000). I would estimate that 95% of investors seeing those statistics would deduce that short sellers are anticipating some very good news to emerge from the company in the near future.
