The polygraph measures the changes in your pulse, breathing patterns, and galvanic skin responses to provocative questions, those responses are compared to a base line of non-provocative questions... in other words, the polygraph only measures one's anxiety about questions that address one's guilty involvement... my point is that a sociopath, one who has no guilt feelings about wrongdoing, can easily pass a polygraph since he doesn't think he's done anything wrong... if Condit is a sociopath, then he'll pass that test with flying colors... the test is only valid when used within the scope and bounds of a normal population..... GZ
