I'm still having a hard time with the logic here.

You expect customers to purchase 56kbps USRX modems from AOL.

First off, if you are logging into AOL you already have a
modem. So the question is ... do AOL subscribers need to
access AOL at a higher rate?

Second, AOL user's main gripe is with the inability to access
AOL in a timely fashion. A 56kbps modem does not fix this.

In the end, AOL customers will learn to access AOL through
a different ISP. It is this different ISP that will require
the higher bandwidth capability. In other words, customers
will eventually search out alternative ISP's. In so doing,
they will attempt to seek the highest possible bandwidth
at the lowest price. It is here that ROK, LU and USRX must
compete.

From my vantage point ... we are all being held hostage while
the standardization issue is worked out.
