<How far would you go? Would you take out the sockets libraries, the dialer, the newsgroup browser..> I would. The OS layer needs to be clearly defined, carefully documented, and totally separated from applications. I would pay someone to have all the current marketing crap removed from OS, and would install only what I need. This apparently will eliminate the M$ "spaghetti" code style, and improve so-called "reliability" of the OS.
