I just looked at a HP cartridge, it has an install by date on the package and then a 6 month warranty after that. That woman probably doesn't check the expiration dates on the food she buys


There is no technical reason for an ink cartridge to "expire". HP is engaging in "programmed obsolesence" to sell more ink cartridges - whether the consumer needs a new one or not. That's the issue. What would you say if Chevy programmed your car to stop working after 3 years or 30,000 miles, whichever came first?
