You'd think for $ 19B AT&T could start their own on-line service. Then
again the $ 19B is not real money it's that new fiat currency that corporations use to buy one another over with. One of the most exagerated example of this was when Worldcom made an offer for MCI in a stock swap and on the news Worldcoms stock increased more than the market capitalization of MCI.

I see GM stock was up today. Why shouldn't it, by Friday all NA operations will be shut down and the losses will be $ 500M per week. Sounds like a good short term investment to me.
