Right now my goal is to see how the next five months play out. The Chinese are to put a minimum of $3 million into the JV, of which GRNO will own half. GRNO will supply the technology and expertise. The Chinese will also finish purchasing $1 million in preferred stock which will go to paying off outstanding bills and getting the plant started (I hope). Then time is own GRNO's side as it starts earning money from the plant. The long lead items will have to ordered in that time frame as well, I think, to meet the June installation milestone. With any luck and a lot of intelligent hard work, 1999 will be an exciting year to look forward to. In contrast to Turkey, the government of China makes all the right noises about moving in the right direction and I don't anticipate interference from government. In fact, I wonder what would happen to a bureaucrat who tried to stonewall approval as we have seen in other countries.

The news release says the Chinese agree to invest a minimum of $3 million into the JV land and buildings. I assume they may even have to pay extra to get the parts for the first plants because GRNO has no money.

The second news release states, "The office building and laboratory facilities of a proposed 51,667 square feet will conduct research and development of the GOE patented technology in new areas to include processing hazardous and contaminated waste oils and crude oil to marketable fuels." This is especially interesting to me because GRNO has already perfected the processing of waste oil and is now announcing they will be researching crude oil processing and remediating contaminated oils. If this is successful, the technology will become far more versatile and valuable all over the world. Crankcase oil is only the beginning.
