You might consider buying some junior gold companies to get more bang for your gold buck. They tend to go up (and down) a lot more than the seniors like HM, ABX, PDG, and NEM. I own BGO, which I wouldn't tout (I made a lot of money on it several years ago and am fond for it for that reason). There's Glamis, Crown, Canyon, Royal Gold, and scores trading on the Canadian exchange. For DD starters, there's :
