re: whether some folk's investment "clubs" in cyberspace engage in illegal activity as suggested by Anthony - my guess is that much of investment law is being re-examined to see how it applies to cyberspace. Law is an evolving thing. Hybrid chain letter / pyramid schemes are illegal. As both of those constructs are no -no's, I thought that the mex's law degree received in Korea might not be helping him too much in understanding what can an cannot be done here. In pyramid schemes, what is marketed is less the product that supposidly was the foundation of the organization, but the organization itself and the pitch that if you get somebody else downstream from you, you'll make money. The difference between a pyramid scheme and a valid multi-level marketing company is quite definable.
