Garry: First of all Teck DID NOT dump shares big time... If you look
at the dates the Teck trades took place you will find the following:
10/29/97 Total Volume: 1,952,430...Teck sells 144,500
10/30/97 Total Volume: 1,547,400...Teck sells 120,000
10/31/97 Total Volume: 672,588...Teck Sells 35,000
11/05/97 Total Volume: 331,618...Teck Sells 44,000
11/06/97 Total Volume: 543,950...Teck Sells 50,000
Compared to the daily volumes as found on Stockwatch, I'd hardly say
that Teck was DUMPING the stock... I'd say that they where
selling stock in the normal course of trading...Taking some profits
when they where available...Nothing wrong with that in my books...
They sold less than 400k out of 2.8 mill...Big Deal...
