GW,<<<Maybe Intel management considers it their fiduciary duty to present an honest picture and assure a good long-term return to their long-term investors as opposed to hyping the stock to provide profits to short-term traders whose only interest in Intel is as a trading vehicle. >>>

In the long term we are all dead - boy scouts included. Things are never completely all black or all white. Intel is a great francise. For the most part, the management is pretty good. Somethings they do better than others. But this boyscout stuff has to go. (disclosure - I have nothing against boyscouts. In fact I love boyscouts.)

Too many charlatons tell you they are managing for the long term. When is the longterm? The long term is now. Maximize returns now and the long term will take care of itself.

No doubt, Intel has produced good returns in the past. All I want them to do is to continue to do so. Just because they have been doing it in the past, doesn't mean they will continue to do so.

Just cut out this boy scout stuff.

Mary
