re: IPSU (Sugar) was not one of Slider's best calls

Throwing back the pennies, but wanting to keep the
$20 gold pieces , are we?

Imagine that <vbg>?

You may want to go back and read what I said about
IPSU, and when...

I don't think the words "buy and hold" ..."bet the farm,"
"back up the truck", or, "for the longterm" were in there?

Funny how I get criticized all the time here for being
"a trader" but now, I guess I'm a "buy and holder" on IPSU?

(please don't hold that April 1998 CMGI call against
me.)

Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that IPSU got an
immediate +15% short squeeze pop, right out of the gate,
and then a nice slow-mo rolling trading range for a few
months, that a couple of traders here, made some money on.

I'm kinda thinkin' that a nice +15% pop, on a short-squeeze
trade in a junior mining gold stock, would go over rather well,
right here, right now... but, I digress.

Funny how the bigger bet on Sugar is long forgotten,
but IPSU lives forever <vbg>.

bullbud: "That goes in the bin with VLO."

VLO... sold some puts, and bought some calls on an initial
entry on 4/18/08. And yes, it went down from $52 to $44... mea culpa.

But, of course you forget to mention that it also then went
right back up to $53 (didn't hear from you then), and now that
it's back down to $44... you're back (imagine that?).

...see a pattern developing?

Not with you, in VLO.

One similar to the GS and FNM trades?

I'm doing okay in VLO and I like the risk:reward in the
refiners here. We're throwing up some puts, and some
calls...nothing to write home about yet, but I do okay
with "the trading ranges".... remember the 15 months of
"The Chart"?

... of course you don't <vbg>.

I'll take VLO on the loss side "for now" but not IPSU.

If you dig deep enough...

And if you go back far enough...

You just might even find one, or two, that I got right.

Sigh...

The only thing worse than unrequited love,
is fickelness of the heart.
