I have been on Lola Pass on the way to Missoula. I have been through all that beautiful country, maybe looking for and enjoying different things than you and others...
I don't know.. But I am glad, I am so happy, really, you think Chief Joseph is one of humankind's greatest leaders. A most peaceful person, but a realist that knows when his people are pushed too far.. I am like that..
For I have Finnish ancestory, for better or for worse, and the Russians pushed us, my family and ancestors I mean, too much, 60 years or so ago, that caused so much suffering for my family over there.. I really don't like them that much ( or at least their leadership) to this day.. And I do not like Bush snuggling up to them, looking into Putin's eyes, etc. I imagine I could get over it sometime if they offer some sort of retribution or at least an apology.
But they haven't..
But that's the way it goes..
But, I am glad we worked out our differences.
