That argument is so insane I don't know how to reply.

"Imposing tariffs on foreign imports because they can produce something more efficiently is NOT protecting American jobs"

Tariffs are the ONLY way to protect American jobs. There needs to be more tariffs not less. It has nothing to do with efficiently the American worker produces goods. It has everything to do with the slave labor wages paid to workers in other countries.

Mexico's yearly minimum wage is $1,753.00 in International Currency. International Currency is a measure of currency based on the value of the United States dollar in 2009. There are 82 countries with a higher Minimum Wage then Mexico, and Mexico is in the top 42 percent of all countries based on the yearly minimum wage rate.

Now we pay for these goods that are produced through slave labor wages through debt and entitlements that are paid to displaced workers adding a never ending increase in debt. You simply can't ship out 80 billion a month to other countries through a trade deficit forever. If you take the time to look at the trade deficit and the debt, every dime of trade deficit turns into debt.
