The ordeal of John Bolton

Power Line

In his New York Times column today David Brooks takes a look at the testimony of hostile witnesses in the John Bolton confirmation hearing: "A turning tide for Bolton." The selected excerpts considered by Brooks support Robert Novak's observation that "Cuba is the theme that runs through the ordeal of John Bolton." I think there are several equally ugly themes that run through Bolton's order, but Novak's column is interesting: "John Bolton's defender." Novak omits word on whether Bolton might have chased Fidel Castro down a hallway somewhere some time.
