The problem with POD accounts is that they are not available for emergencies nor if the account holder is in the hospital, etc. No flexibility

We had dual joint checking accounts in Houston, but we thought it was pointless. We don't keep enough in checking, and have enough in savings, to handle most emergency situations.

We thought we were pretty unique in keeping separate accounts. People tend to think we're wierd for not having pooled funds, and splitting everything 50/50.
