AFTER THE BELL - 3Com Corp , Cisco higher
NEW YORK, March 20 (Reuter) - Interest in after-hours trading was moderate on Thursday, traders said, but 3Com Corp
was an exception, moving up more than a point to 34-15/16.
"3Com's earnings just came out," one trader said. "There's a bunch of interest."
3Com had closed at 33-5/8, up 1-7/16 during regular trading, before the company released financial results that included
higher net income per share for the third quarter.
Cisco Systems Inc was also moving up after the bell, to 51-1/2 from 51-1/8. Cisco was up 1-1/8 during regular trading, as
Nasdaq technology stocks staged a comeback.
Also moving up, to 20-1/8 from 19-15/16, was Fore Systems Inc , which had fallen 1-7/16 during regular trading.
The New York Stock Exchange said session one volume was 54,500, while it was 26,700 on Wednesday. Session two
volume was 548,900, compared to 3,617,892 on Wednesday. |
