Gonna update this number once a month or so- the Gold to Oil ratio. I believe we are going to see
this number return towards the mean over the next few years.

GOLD/ OIL
Current value: 6.67
250 day ma (1 yr) = 8.68
500 day ma (2 yr) = 9.39
40 yr. avg. = 15.0

At present, one ounce of gold will only get you 6.7 bbl of oil, pretty extreme in a historical context.
