I can't see any reason for the Shia wanting to share oil revenue with their hated enemies the Sunni just because Bush wants them to - especially considering its obvious our time there is winding down one way or the other. Most likely is Iraqi politicians will play us for as much money as they can - otherwise they don't give a shit about what "we" want.

This is the and has been the major flaw with Bush's "plans" for Iraq. Bush fundamentally seems unable to comprehend that the Shia and Sunni's can't get along. He obviously was oblivious to the schism prior to the invasion. Thats not to mention our unconditional support of Israel - thats a real support winner among Muslims.

Bush and his administration simply do not have the intellectual horsepower needed to understand complex issues like invading countries with cultures unlike that of Texas. The invasion was written up on the back of a napkin by a small bunch of neo-cons who thought they could write history the way they wanted.

Bush is such a putz he honestly thought the people of Iraq wanted to be just like Americans because everyone in the Middle East wants to be just like Americans right?

How did we get such a simpleton in the Oval Office?
