Actually, Druss--Once Lot had passed the desert hospitality test, the angels did blind the crowd. 19:11 And they smote the men that were at the door of the house with blindness, both small and great: so that they wearied themselves to find the door. The crowd then tired itself out in an exhaustive search for the door. I don't know why they didn't just kill them, as it was already on the agenda, but they were considerate enough to blind them before blowing them to kingdom come. God's version of desert hospitality! (hey, on this one I think I'm going to take God's side as regards those particular men!)
