Is EMC a buy? (you already have). I think EMC should sell at a higher premium. They started kicking even IBM butt a few (short) years ago, surpassing them in storage revenues (IBM may have reclaimed the lead since). They pioneered RAID DASD, which is probably the best innovation in large storage systems in decades. All I can think of is that they are still perceived to be in a "mainframe related area", even though their open systems storage box shipments are probably growing faster than the mainframe ones. Also, when people look at EMC, they may see IBM out of the corner of their eye. IBM sells at a crummy PE ratio. So, it may be a perception thing, and perceptions can take years to change on the street. Yes, I think the resurgence of mainframe, or global server shipments, should help EMC and represent a bubble or bonus on top of what they have going now. A buy? I won't because of that perception thing (truthfully, I also work for a competitor, but have a lot of respect for EMC).

Ciao,
Tony
