Some have made a big deal about the stinky list and KANA.. I'm not sure about KANA except that they have one heck of a pr effort going and they seem to have set their sights on a number of potentially strong internet based business initiatives that make sense as described. I remember Yahoo being a small idea and AOL has filled my trash can with useless promotional disks. In any case here's the stinky material being bandied about as significant, make up your own mind:

financialweb.com
"Kanakaris Communications (OTCBB: KANA) could be a poster child for the inanity that lately seems to follow any stock that has the word "Internet" associated with it. A 25-year-old company, Kanakaris has cumulative revenue of $27 million. But there's no way of knowing how much came when, since the company does not report to the SEC, nor is there a hint of a financial statement - unaudited or otherwise - on the company's website. The company says its main focus is the
Internet, from designing and hosting sites to providing content and commerce. But the company's roots are in its subsidiary, Desience, which designs office modules that organize computers. Kanakaris's stock has been on a wild ride of late, breaking the $4 mark in January then rollercoastering down to the $0.21. The company's been getting some hype lately from Wall Street West Communications. This Denver-based stock promotion outfit ran a "pseudo research report" on
Kanakaris projecting earnings of more than $12 million on revenues of almost $28 million in less than two years. According to the same research report, Kanakaris last year earned $171,378 on $1.4 million in sales. Wall Street West recommends it as a buy in the $5 to $6 range."

Now this article is "sponsored by WallStreeGuru" ?? Yet WallStreetGuru section this site has nothing on KANA..

However, the News section is nice as it lists the following bits from Business Wire:http://www.financialweb.com/newsvest/ArticlesFound.ASP?SymbolName=KANA&offset=0&SearchType=simple

Seems to me the quibble in this reference isn't KARA so much as Wall St. West Communications at wallstreetwest.com

At their site they have a section called Track Record. They do qualify their record with this statement:

"This "Track Record" is not necessarily indicative of actual, real gains, but rather illustrative of possible gains dependent upon certain variables such as the bid price, period of time after stock was first featured, when the stock was sold, etc. The numbers are a high (or low) after being featured at the Wall Street West Website and/or release via STOCK ALERT."

Its difficult to match up their posting times of recommendations with the price you or I could have bought it at, or gotten out at on the other side. However, in their defense the major institutions are more decpetive in their buy and sell recommendations. For example IBM will probably get some buy alerts today that the institutions are pretending they posted at yesterday's price.

Anyone having further info, always post it here so that we can all make decisions with information on the table, not he saids and she said rumors.

Good luck
