Democrats: The Roadblock To Bipartisan Social Security Reform

Rep. Jack Kingston nails the Democratic leaders in an article in Roll Call:

<<<

Unfortunately, some who oppose finding a solution to the Social Security problem, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), continue to stand in the way of bipartisan discussions. On countless occasions, Pelosi has called for bipartisanship on the issue of Social Security reform. Yet, when the opportunity for bipartisanship arose recently, she demanded lock-step opposition from her Members to any meeting with AARP that included both Republicans and Democrats.

The Democrats don't care about fixing Social Security. They don't care about doing what's right for the American people. They care only about themselves. They aren't interested in bipartisanship, fairness, or compromise. Everything, from national security to Social Security is a political game to them. To them it is always about Democrats vs. Republicans, or Democrats vs. George W. Bush.
