Yeah, I don't really get Windows 10. It's basically an operating system originally designed for tablets and a touchscreen interface. While there are plenty of PC laptops now with touchscreens, it's not how I'd want to use a computer.

My niece got a brand new Dell laptop running Windows 10 in late 2017. In May of last year, I had to reinstall Windows 10 from Microsoft's site to fix a rogue process that was taking all the spare CPU cycles and slowing it to a crawl, after spending at least a couple of hours trying other less drastic fixes.

A couple of weeks ago I was there to install the updated version of her AV software. I tried to launch Malwarebytes, but it took several minutes before it started. The laptop itself had just been booted up, so it's quite possible it was still running background processes and that caused the delay, I don't know.

Just glad that everyone else in the family uses Macs, at least the ones I have to troubleshoot. They certainly have their own quirks and problems too though.
