Correct me if I'm wrong, but since 1995 Democrats controlled the House only four years, two years under Bush and two years under Obama (during the Great Recession).

What laws did these republicans pass to stop the collapse or fix the collapse after it happened? You can't name one because it's all about blaming people who left power years before the collapse.

According to your view of the world, Bush never became president and Clinton was so strong that Congress and Bush couldn't stop him years after he left office.

But none of that is true. Bank loans exploded under Bush as the rest of the economy was slowing (something that's never happened before in modern history). In your world a republican House, Senate and President were crippled by Clinton who left office seven years before the collapse. Who thinks like that? Republicans, only republicans. They need excuses for failure and they will go back years to find someone to blame.
