Oh, dear, Andrew...That is so very sad. I wondered if you knew them....The terror they must have felt before being killed is too terrible to think about for long. Hopefully, the police and FBI can find the vermin that killed the Judge's family soon!

My husband and I were talking tonight about this situation, as well as the issue of a sentence of death penalty to murderers, no matter their age, if the crime is heinous. We both agree that there are occasions where a death penalty is deserved. Richard Speck, Ted Bundy type crimes.

He thinks an alternative might be we establish a prison on one of the islands in Antarctica and/or the Aleutians. The prison would have no guards, no cooks, no TV, no radio, only blankets, heat, food dropped in every week, and basic supplies, including books. The folks here could simply fend for themselves for the rest of their lives. The island should be about 600 miles from the nearest land, and surrounded with frigid waters.

After awhile, we just have to admit that some people do things so terrible they just don't deserve to live around other people.
