PCs and Macs will never be replaced. Their role might change in a world where handhelds are increasing in popularity, though.

No way you can create documents such as letters, spreadsheets, or Powerpoint slides on an iPad. Unless you connect a mouse and a keyboard, but then it becomes a notebook PC or a Macbook.
