I plan to get every device apple sells... when I win the lottery.

He he, that'll be awhile, I don't gamble...

I would like to have a variety, but with me I can't justify spending on every one.

nano or shuffle when backpacking.
iPad nice for when out doing shopping or lounging around.
iTouch when garage sailing in my car or on bike or on car trip.
MacBook for when I need to fix a friends computer.
iMac for home
MacPro when I'm rendering 3d images of my DNA

Oh I forgot the iPhone... I phone when I want to impress people or get in an argument with my Windows centric buddies.

Apple has never tried to make a one size fits all device.

It just depends on how much you can afford and how much time you want to spend configuring devices...

configuring is where Apple has the edge I think. As devices proliferate that will become more and more important. Keeping all your devices and files up to date is a potential nightmare.

I was thinking about getting a Macbook last night.
