In today's issue of Science there is a nice little piece titled Uses and Abuses of Mathematics in Biology by Robert May.

Apologies to those who will find this off topic. Given the discussion a little while ago of confidence intervals and their relevance, I think it is well worth reading. Robert May usually is.
