QCOM royalties on all phones sold are likely to come sooner rather than later, regardless of when the WCDMA and/or CDMA2000 networks are launched. WCDMA and 1X Phones are currently being produced, and carriers are going to want to sell phones that are capable of utilizing their planned network upgrades rather than only their legacy systems. An example of this is how many digital phones were sold years before coast to coast digital networks were completed.

Good Luck to all!
