Many governors have the line-item veto but SCOTUS says it's unconstitutional on the federal level. I'm kinda surprised no one has challenged it in the states.

I think MN's governor just used the line-item veto to remove all funding for the legislature over a budget dispute. Their Court ruled it was constitutional as long as it doesn't undo the state Constitution, meaning their legislature has to find a solution the governor accepts in order to fund their branch of government.

I don't want to see entire chunks of the US government vetoed out of existence without the consent of Congress so I oppose the line-item veto.
