Hi Herm:
I doubt that I could add one scintilla of valuable information to what you continually provide (you asked about my recent experiences/and that "you're always willing to learn something").

And although I can't add any pages to your collection of "nuggets" of knowledge (on what TO do to be successful in the market ) . . . I certainly could "write" at least a few chapters on what NOT to do:

Seems my time away has taught me a few lessons. Paid some expensive tuitions. But, I'm still standing. None the prouder . . . but much the wiser. "Out there", unlike on your thread, education HURTS.

It's good to see that the grand teacher (HERM) is still "holding class"

In brief some remedial learning I experienced:

DON'T listen to a broker's advice. Sometimes the blind lead the blind
DON'T "catch a falling knife" (keep averaging down. It gets bloody
DON'T focus solely on low priced stocks (under $5)Their are some sharks in those waters
DON'T load up on issues with low volume: If nobody else wants them, then why do you?
DON'T "drive" with a blindfold on (even if you have a trusted "co pilot) LEARN to READ CHARTS.
DON'T over do it (load up on) 1 issue: if that stock tanks, YOUre chained to it. . . and YOU go down with it. And when it just lies there at the bottom of the tank you have to "sever" yourself from it or hope that you can hold your breath long enough to see it rise again . . . and get your financial "head above water".

Keep up the good work Herm.

Jaytee
