Centurion Announces Senior Vice-President, Exploration
CALGARY, ALBERTA--Said Arrata, President & CEO of Centurion Energy
International Inc., is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr.
A.R. (Hany) Elsharkawi, Ph.D., P.Eng., to the position of Senior
Vice-President, Exploration.
Dr. Elsharkawi has been active in the oil and gas industry for
over 23 years, and his international involvement began in 1982.
Since then, he has held key positions in the industry, most
recently as president of Canadian Petroleum North Africa, a wholly
owned subsidiary of Canadian Occidental Petroleum. In his new
capacity, Dr. Elsharkawi will be responsible to oversee
Centurion's exploration and business development opportunities.
The expertise he brings to Centurion will complement a strong
international management team with a focused corporate strategy
for continued growth into the next century.
Centurion, a dynamic oil and gas company headquartered in Calgary,
Alberta, focuses on exploration and production in North Africa,
and currently has exploration and production in Tunisia and
exploration concessions in Egypt. Centurion trades on the Toronto
