Friday, March 27, 1998 CompUSA Apple sales numbers coming next week [B. Wilson] - Apple's partnership with CompUSA is, by most accounts, exceeding expectations. While previous sales numbers indicate that sales of Macintosh systems through the "store-within-a-store" model have bumped sales from 3% of CompUSA's overall sales to 14%. However, next week, we should have some current information about how sales are going. A spokeswoman for CompUSA told MacCentral "We're preparing to release some sales numbers next week." In the meantime, she says "We're pleased with the sales so far."
