X: Just got off the phone with a friend (?) of mine who has worked at the BSE for years. I usually can't stand to talk with him. He is a real sincere guy, but goes on, and on, way after a question has been answered. If you ask him the time, this fellow tells you how to build a watch. Anyway .. it seems, according to him and as best as I can make out, August is traditionally slow. Also the work is done by " Vacation People " which evidently slows things further. Decision making, error correction and the like are considerably slower till Labor Day. He kept going with all sorts of explanations until I had to punch 4-5-6 on my phone and tell him it was an incoming alert ! All this for what its worth. al
