GE Wins $40 Million Contract from Australia's Kendell Airlines
EVENDALE, Ohio, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire/ -- In a transaction worth approximately $40 million, Australia's largest regional carrier, Kendell Airlines, selected GE Engine Services to maintain and service the new GE CF34-3B engines powering its 50-passenger Canadair CRJ Series 100/200 regional jet fleet.

GE Engine Services, which anticipates revenues of nearly $5.5 billion in 1999, will perform the service portion of the contract at GE's overhaul and repair Center of Excellence at Strother Field, located near Arkansas City, Kansas. GE's Centers of Excellence network has facilities in: Xiamen, China; Nantgarw, Wales; Singapore; Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Ontario, California; Miami, Florida; Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas; Prestwick, Scotland; Petropolis, Brazil; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; and Cincinnati, Ohio; and also at Garrett Aviation Services' six Total Aircraft Service SM Centers. |
