Notes from Vikram The Great at Piper: - France Telecom - Allows for both circuit and packet peering internationally, Sonus won the business relatively easily, with the NBS contributing to the uniqueness of the Sonus solution. - Continuing to work with the(as in all) other Top10 carriers they do not currently have, both on the wireline and wireless side, to introduce Sonus into their network. We should hear additional announcementS in the future. - Only supplier with a proven, scalable solution in the market. - NBS - A unique product in the industry, allowing a seamless transition from circuit to packet switching, providing security and features the traditional setup w/SBC's does not. Have 40+ NBS customers. - Have not announced their new Top10 win, it is a combination of an access-type application plus some ability to interconnect networks. - Discussed the benefits of femtocells. Sonus handles the handoff between the IP-based call and the CS cellular connection, Layer 3 and above. Cooters
