Actually, another purpose of jail is rehabilitation. That is what we have done for Martha.

The issue of the death penalty recently discussed in my opinion has to do not with protection of society but revenge and pay back- plain and simple. Many moral codes still consider that to be appropriate especially Islam but evidently 5 members of the supreme court don't consider revenge a suitable moral purpose for juveniles no matter how heinous their crime.
