MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 16, 1999--Primetech Electronics
(ME:PME.) (TSE:PME.) Primetech Electronics Inc. ("Primetech") today
announced that it has been selected by Newbridge Networks Corporation
(NYSE:NN.N; TSE:NNC) ("Newbridge") for the second phase of the
leading networking vendor's turnkey initiative.
Primetech has provided sub-assembly manufacturing services to
Newbridge since 1988. Last fall, working with Newbridge on the first
phase of its turnkey initiative, Primetech undertook a pilot program
to supply selected products on a turnkey basis to Newbridge. The
success of the first phase has led to the second phase, which
encompasses an increased number of products being manufactured by
Primetech and an accelerated conversion of consignment products to a
turnkey basis.
