And I am going to post about adventurism again, to nobody in particular for I do not want to INTRUDE on anyone any particular way.. I am just that way.. I do not want to burden anyone with an answer..
But moving on to point, I believe there is an inherent something in people, in humans, perhaps others, a "gene" perhaps in SOME people to express thewmselves beyond the ordinary.. The ordinary being their everyday lives of food, shelter, clothing, etc..
And some of these people, with maybe, I don't know, a higher moral calling, do it on their OWN.. WITHOUT doing it vicariously through ANIMALS, that have NO say, like dogs,(Iditerad, etc. BTW we heard Susan Butcher talk at a gathering, and I detected a slight feeling of guilt, maybe I was wrong), through greyhound racing, through rodeos, etc..
But why can't these people do it on their OWN, if that is their choice. To climb the highest mountains, to run the swiftest rivers. ON their OWN, without explotation of other lives or other life forms, except THEIR OWN..
I believe they should when ALL know what is involved. Even boxing, which I have no care for anymore..(although I boxed some in college), If two people want to get in the ring and pound on each other under their own free will, so be it, even though I don't want to watch it.
